Each year the Gallery invites local and area artists to show their new works in an open, non-juried exhibition with no particular theme. Twelve artists will be exhibiting artworks, in a variety of mediums including acrylic, oil, photography, sculpture, and fibre art. Join us for the opening reception on March 2nd, 1-3pm.

EMERGENCE - APRIL 6 - MAY 5

Art 10, 20 and 30 students from Crowsnest Consolidated High School and Livingstone School in Lundbreck will be featured in the art Gallery during this annual exhibit, which had been part of the exhibition schedule of the Gallery since 1992. This show is both enlightening and colourful, revealing of the quality of art education in the school system. Curators are Barbara Ann Hession and Jon Koegler.

PLACE IN PERSPECTIVE is a collaboration (over three years), between three award-winning textile artists who share connections to Cape Breton, Alberta and Saskatchewan. For several years, the artists met at an annual week-long artist residency in Saskatchewan where they came to realize the common bonds they had to these provinces; similar life experiences of transition and upheaval; and strong, individual artist voices that celebrated colour.
